RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE COLLEGE LIBRARY


(i) Users must bring their Library Cards at the time of using of the College Library.

(ii) They should remain silent inside the College Library. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the College Library.

(iii) Library can recall any issued book even before due date. Books must be returned by the students within 15 days from the date of issue. Defaulters have to pay a fine of Rs. 1 per day per book.

(iv) Outside members i.e. students of IGNOU and NSOU study centres and local people are not be allowed to borrow books but they are allowed to access documents within library.

(v) Books lost, damaged or defaced must be replaced by the borrower. If the lost book is not available, the borrower will have to pay a fine determined by the Head of the Institution.

(vi) Reference books, costly and rare books are not to be issued from the library without the written permission of the proper authority.

(vii) For Loss of Library cards or books should be immediately reported to the Librarian in writing duly forwarded by the Head of the Institution for information & necessary action to the local Police Station. Verbal intimation will not be entertained. For a new Library Card after loss, Students have to deposit one passport / stamp size Colour / black & white photograph and Rs 25/- for each new Library Card.

(viii) Students appearing for the University Examinations must return the library books and the cards. They should collect a library clearance certificate from the library before receiving the admit cards.

Students can accesses their books & journals in the library through the UGC- designed SOUL software .For this purpose a short term training will be imparted to all new comers free of cost. Internet Facility available on request.

Loss of Library Cards

For Loss of Library cards or books should be immediately reported to the Librarian in writing duly forwarded by the Principal for Information & Necessary action to the local Police Station. Verbal information will not be entertained.
For A New Library card after loss, students have to deposit one PP/ Stamp size Colour / b&w photograph and Rs 15- for each card .
